You can limit records available to choose from or displayed based on a previous field selection by using Field Dependency Filters. This can also be known as Parent/Child Relationships, such as States and Cities or Car Make to Car Model. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to set up a filter so the form user can choose a State, then can only see Cities in that State. This is for linked record fields.

In this tutorial

Filter Example

You have a States field and a Cities field. You want the form user to choose a State, then limit the Cities displayed to only those in the chosen State.

If the user chooses California, it limit the Cities field to only display Cities in California
